The project aims to analyse the role of European Union member states in supporting the development of democracy in the EU’s Eastern and Southern Neighbourhoods. The project is represented by a multinational research consortium that includes academic institutions, think tanks, and NGOs from the European Union and the Southern and Eastern Neighborhood countries.

The team of the School for Policy Analysis is foremost responsible for part of the study concerning the EU Eastern Neighbourhood countries conceptual framework of the project, particularly regarding digital transformation..

The project results will contribute to the creation of sustainable policy instruments of the European Union to support democracy in the Eastern and Southern Neighborhood. In addition, they will contribute to increasing the European Union’s transparency, efficiency, and reliability as a political actor.
