The project “Development of Certificate Training Programs in African, Latin American, and Indo-Pacific Studies” aims to create three certificate programs in these fields. This would meet Ukraine’s urgent need for specialists who can work effectively to represent Ukraine’s interests in cooperation with Global Partners.

The full-scale invasion of Russia has emphasized the need to strengthen international relations and communication with countries in Africa, Latin America, and the Indo-Pacific, where Ukraine can maintain its long-term presence through educational and research initiatives that will also help in establishing cooperation.

The project will result in developing courses for certificate programs with the involvement of Ukrainian and foreign experts. The expanded programs will be introduced into the educational programs at the Department of International Relations of the National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy and they will be also available to the external audience.

The project will be implemented in cooperation with several foreign universities and think-tanks, including Indonesian, African, and Latin American institutions. Successful cooperation with such partners will enable Ukraine to strengthen its diplomatic and political presence in strategically important regions.
