Kyiv-Mohyla Academy Develops a Russian Studies Programme to Better Understand the Enemy

⚡️At the Kyiv-Mohyla Academy, a Russian Studies programme is being developed — an initiative that helps to gain a deeper understanding of how contemporary Russia functions: its society, power structures, propaganda, and decision-making logic.

👀To ensure this research is as accurate and applied as possible, the School for Policy Analysis and the Kyiv-Mohyla Academy cooperate with the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine (HUR MO).

The combination of academic expertise and the practical experience of military intelligence delivers a unique outcome — a deep and substantive understanding of the enemy.

We are grateful to members of our team — Director Maksym Yakovlyev and Senior Analyst Anton Suslov — whose perseverance, motivation, and vision are driving this programme forward.

We study the enemy not out of curiosity, but out of responsibility, because knowledge is a key element of our defence.
