An online round table discussion “Voting trends in Latin America and Mexico: a discussion on punishment vote” 

🔹On May 20, an online round table discussion “Voting trends in Latin America and Mexico: a discussion on punishment vote” was held as part of the project “Advocating for Ukraine in the Global South through Think Tank Cooperation.”

🇲🇽 The key topic of the discussion was the electoral trends in Latin America, particularly in Mexico. Luis Estrada Straffon, an electoral expert, shared his thoughts on the eve of the June 2 elections in Mexico.

🇺🇦 Volodymyr Lakomov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary, delivered a speech about left-wing and right-wing trends in political development in Latin America through the prism of developing Ukrainian-Mexican relations.

Ruslan Spirin, Special Representative of Ukraine for Latin America and the Caribbean.; Oksana Dramaretska, Ukraine’s Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Mexico; Olexiy Haran, Research Director of the Ilko Kucheriv Democratic Initiatives Foundation, and other experts took part in the discussion.

The event also attracted the attention of colleagues from Mexico and many International Relations students interested in Latin America.
