In Ukraine, the mutual influences between politics and culture remain insufficiently explored. With this course, we aim to initiate a new interdisciplinary direction in educational programs and research focused on the “relationship” between these two spheres.
We do not simply examine the connections between politics, culture, and the arts. Rather, the lecturers problematize the topic and encourage participants to reflect on how political processes shape the cultural agenda — and why politics and ideologies themselves are impossible without artistic forms of expression.
