{"id":8526,"date":"2024-07-16T10:16:32","date_gmt":"2024-07-16T07:16:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/spa.ukma.edu.ua\/?post_type=projects&#038;p=8526"},"modified":"2026-01-05T12:29:57","modified_gmt":"2026-01-05T10:29:57","slug":"promoting-constitutional-reform","status":"publish","type":"projects","link":"https:\/\/spa.ukma.edu.ua\/en\/projects\/promoting-constitutional-reform\/","title":{"rendered":"Promoting constitutional reform"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Duration: <\/strong>01.04.2012 &#8211; 30.09.2013<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Supported by<\/strong> the National Endowment for Democracy<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Amount of funding: USD 52,650 + USD 52,750<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As President Viktor Yanukovych attempted to implement a constitutional &#8220;reform&#8221; to gain absolute power, ignoring public opinion and international legal legitimacy, the project aimed to provide Ukrainian citizens with objective information about this process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The project also aimed to create an alternative non-governmental constitutional discourse with the participation of public opinion leaders and the expert community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As a result, the team of the School for Policy Analysis NaUKMA managed to involve as many people as possible in the process of developing amendments to the Ukrainian Constitution.
